You obviously know to use steam. If you can get a tea kettle, that works good because it only steams a small area at a time. After you get the steam rolling, hold your hat over the steam where you need to reshape it for a few seconds. My husband shapes the front brim by holding the hat with both hands, the front facing him, and uses his chin to put the dip in the front brim. Hold the position for a few seconds until the hat cools. The back brim is shaped the same way except he puts one hand in the crown and just pulls down on the back brim a little bit with the other hand. (He doesn't want as big a dip in the back as in the front.) If your crown needs shaped, use your fingers. And you probably already know this, but always lay your hat on it's crown whenever you're not wearing it. This prevents the brim from becoming flattened out.

Start by getting you a pot of water, a small sauce pan will suffice. Be sure that it is not teflon coated. Dont ask why just dont use teflon coated pan. Then with either the lid that has a steam vent or you can make a cover for the pan out of aluminum foil. Make a hole about 1/2 inch in diameter near the edge of the pan's rim. boil the water and use the steam to heat the part of the hat that you want to shape. Be careful, as over steaming can make the hat very flimsy and you should not steam the part you are shaping for mor than 10 to 15 seconds at a time.

By the way. Most western stores will shape your hat the way you want it for tip money or if you bought it there they will do it for free.
