Most Canadians dont want to Come to the U.S. (except for tourism) the quality of life there is just as good if not better. The problem with mexico is that there are alot of places on the US border that are pretty cruddy and the only better place to go is the US.

Since mexico is rated as a third world country, there are alot of hispanics that do not have identification when crossing the border, thus making it hard to identify and other numerous problems related to it. There are several other reasons as well.

Canada is not a third world country and most of them have ID.

There are border crossings into Canada. I assume you mean border checkpoints? You experience pretty much the same thing going in and out of Canada that you do in and out of Mexico. In fact the most thorough customs experience I've ever had was going between the US and Canada - and I've been to a lot of other countries around the world.
