If you do choose this permenant expression I would suggest taking the time to find something with meaning to you. Please get it in a sensible place where it is discreet and doesn't look trashy. A tattoo can be beautiful but it most be done with much thought.

Tattoos are personal, so what is perfect for me, may not be perfect for you!!
But to answer your question, I think a best tattoo to get is something that means a lot to me!! I am in the process of getting my dog from when i was a child tatted on my leg. She was my favorite dog ever!
And then there is one that I dreamt about that I still have to find someone to draw it.

Something that means something to you or represents something you have gone through in life, stay away from names unless it's in memorium of someone important to you that has passed, not like a boyfriend or girlfriend. Find out what certain things mean or maybe get something with the initial of your first name wrapped around in something cool. Think it out and do your research so you won't regret it not only when you are older but even a few months down the road.

I think the best tattoo is one that means something personal to you. I really like tattoos of portraits, they seem to mean a lot to people and I think that's something that you wouldn't be ashamed that you had permanently on your skin.

One that you got after age 35, is small, and can be shown or not. The reasons are because you change over time, and so do fads. What's cool now WON'T be cool in a few years, and you will most likely regret what you chose. Small tatoos are more readily accepted and can be hidden easier. There WILL be times in life that you don't want to exhibit them..trust me.

Whatever is meaningful to you in your life. I have a sun, a fairy, and a dragon which all have special meanings to me and therefore are things that I will want to carry with me for the rest of my life.
Above all else, remember that a tattoo is forever.

People can't choose a tatoo for you. My advice would be to think of something that means a lot to you, a family member, something to symbolize an event or something that happened, a pet, a kid (no names of a girlfriend or boyfriend) - something like that. And get something in that sense. You want to get something that represents something special and meaningful to you and always will be. Because tatoos are forever, even if you get them removed through laser surgeory of have the scar in the shape of the tatoo to remind you. You're the only one who can choose...and remember to make it count. Take care!

the best tattoo is one you know you can live with the rest of your life..... never and i mean -" never "get a name put on you no matter how much you think you are in love....been there done that! thats the worst tattooo in the world!

the best tattoo is the one that you put on you for a specific reason. i have several but the most important one i have is dedicated to my parents. it has a cross, yellow rose, a heart, their initials and years that they pass on
