This is what my grandmother keeps saying. She keeps saying that she loves her Chinese cardiologist. That he is is the best doctor. And that from her experience, she will only see an Asian doctor. Is this prejudice against her own people?
I also remember reading that Asian chidren adopted by White parents since birth end up scoring higher on I.Q test than most other white children putting them at the same level as Asian children raised by Asian parents. Is intelligence genetic to some degree? i know this may sound strange.
However, I know Asian people that are smart, and I know Asian people that are not so smart, so it varies.

I don't think your race influences your IQ, but your upbringing can influence your ambition and study habits.
In most cases, Asian parents can be very strict. They make sure their children study hard, get punished for C or even B grades, get into good schools, cultivate in their children a love for reading/knowledge, etc. They can have very high standards and can believe their children are capable of anything.
I speak from experience because my parents are Asian and they are the same way. They motivate me to do my best. America is seriously the land of opportunity in their eyes, compared to their native poor country.
I'm not sure if intelligence is genetic, although in some cases you can get a genetic disease that affects your intelligence (such as down syndrome).

I think to say that asian kids are smarter than white is hard to say.... there is always one race that will have smarter kids than other races....... the thing is that in certain races they push those kids to the top to shut out other more know more respected races...... that is why when you hear about a white middle class white boy getting a scholarship you simply turn the channel but when you hear of a black lower class female you tell all of your friends......... all kids no matter what race are either smart or not smart it simply depends on how they push themselves it is just that it is easier for other races besides white to make it if they are smart becuase it is they are not seen as a majority in america like the white race....... Just to clarify i am in no way racist i just simply have seen this happen and have been a victim of the whole affirmative action ordeal..... i hold no grudges against other races for needing an upper hand in making it in life.....

That is very stereotypical, so don't think that way. Sure Asians are known to be brighter because they excel in some subjects better than others do and their school sytems are more strict. For example: If you are a in 7th grade in the U.S. in Japan, they may be in the same grade, but are doing math that is much harder, like two years ahead of us. This may have something to with the fact that, when you reach the 8th grade you can get out of school, and high school is optional.

I agree..because Asian born to be wise.....just kiddin! Well, Asians are determined and their way of living is family oriented not like whites....Asians has good family bonding and children were able to watch for their needs. That's why they are smart enough in school or even in thier daily coz they are watched and guided by their parents and environment.
Close family ties is one of the factors why family or children get successful. It really helps why individual succeed. Though money contibutes....but a good family realtionship really works for more and better outcome especially for bright and successful individuals.

asian parents make their children study real hard. if u go to any school in india(my country) and ask the kids, what they want to become most of them will say, doctor, engineer or a businessman. they have been drilled that only if they study hard they can have an easy life and not struggle as much as their parents have to.

I think it just a culture thing and how education is viewed as being something very important. I think in here in the states you can be successful without a college degree....
