I remember feeling that way when i was your age, it was such an exciting feeling, funnily i still think of the boy now, i never forgot his name, whereas i have forgotten most names of the boys that i dated in high school. I think it is possible to love someone at your age, it just shouldnt be an innapropriate love, make sure you leave the heavier stuff until you are both a little older.

It sounds like you have a crush on him. It's called puppy love. And it's an awesome feeling. Remember...your only 12 so don't rush it. You have your whole life ahead of you and alot more boyfriends in your future. Have a blast

12 is kinda young to be in love, but stranger things have happened. I wouldn't do anything about it just yet, if ya'll are friends then keep it friends.
For at least a few years.
