I want to create web pages using html, how do I configure my computer to save notepad(.txt) files in html format?

when saving use "all file types" to save something from (txt) to what ever you specify. also you can rename the file to .html at anytime if you so desire

The easiest way is to simply save your files with the .html extension in notepad. Like:
[ Myfoosite.html ]
(You should type the extension when saving.) Txt and HTML are the same format, but with different extensions.

just save them as plain text, name the file {foo}.html and make sure notepad doesn't add the .txt to the end by setting the Save As Type to "All Files".

HTML files are ASCII text files .... no different than anything else you use Notepad on ... either supply a filename with a .htm or .html extension when you save it, or rename the text file from .txt to .htm after.

You could just go to the file at My Documents and change the ending of the file name with .html. I've done that before with website layouts I made.
