It would be a replacement for the one that came with the Actiontec DSL from qwest. Right now we have to make sure it is plugging in completely horizontally or we lose the internet. Thanks.

If you are losing connection then go buy a cable anywhere that sells them, they arew all about the same, Cat 5 or higher will work fine for your situation and buy a standby cable if this is a stressed connection.

Simply go to your local best buy, Frys, or radio shack, or any computer shop. Ask for a network cable. There is really no science to this. If you want better performance ask for a CAT 6 cable. Right now you are most likely running CAT 5.

Check the side of the cable to make sure. The insulation usually has the words on it.

Once you purchase the cable (will not cost more than $8) just plug it in the same way. Good luck.

Go to Best Buy or a comparable store in your area and buy a Cat5 or 6 cable that is long enough and replace the old one.

Either you have another ethernet cable or you pop to places like argos or maplin or any pc shop to get one and replace it. Alternatively if money is tight, try to put some electrical celo tape around it so it doesnt come off loose. goodluck

any ethernet cable would do. When it comes to that there really is no better or worse cable unless it is broken like the one you have now
