My daughter is going into second grade this year, and I want to know what is hot in clothing for kids this year. We have already been shopping and got a couple of leggings outfits, but she needs more. Any suggestions?

In case you are confused by my wording, I don't mean "hot" as in "sexy". I mean "hot" as in "it's what's big right now". Some of the answers I have gotten made me think some may have misunderstood me.

And by the way - leggings are "in". I got 2 of the leggings outfits at Limited Too!

Tunics are really cute and so are the leggings.
Look in stores like JCPenney and Kohls (kid's section) and you can get a good idea of what is in for little kids.
Bobby Jack is a cute brand and little kids love it!
Click on this link (I am guessing her size is a 7-16...sorry if it is not) and it will show a ton of cute styles for her!

Limited Too is also a very cute store...but where I live it is VERY expensive...it is really "in-style" for little girls her age.

Have fun shopping!

Aren't leggings from the late 80's-early 90's? I really don't think they've made a comeback..please return them to the store you bought them if you want to spare your child the humiliation. Me and my fiance buy our daughter clothes from Old Navy or Limited Too..that way you're sure your kid is "rockin the latest styles".

You want to know what is 'hot' for a 7 year old?? Well, play pants and cute, comfortable, functional tops...that's all she needs. Get her stuff she can play in comfortably. A hoody or two, and some good durable running shoes.

I was'nt aware that elementary kids actually had a style. They all just copy each other because they are afraid to stand out. Little do they know when they hit high school they won't want to wear what everybody is wearing. They will want to stand out.
