I am absolutely opposed to abortion. However, I have studied the arguments for abortion in the instances when rape or incest is the reason why the woman was impregnated. While I am against killing the child, I could not in good conscious, support a law that did not allow the option to abort a child in the case of rape or incest.

Abortion should not be allowed as a form of birth control. With the openness about sex we have in our society today, and the fact sex education is taught in schools, there is no way anyone can make a viable argument that how to cause and prevent pregnancy is not known common public knowledge. Men can not even walk in to the average public restroom in stores and some restaurants and bars and not see a condom vending machine hanging on the wall.

I can not say I feel the same about abortion in regards to when a mother's life could be in danger. I say this, because there have been many instances when a woman was told she will die if she has the baby. She decided to carry the child to term, then had the child, now both mother and child are living happy healthy lives.

We have to keep in mind, doctors are human also. They are not always right.

OMG!!! So FOR Abortion.
Why would we force someone to have an unwanted child? We might as well just handcuff them when they are born, because these unwanted kids have terrible lives and are either raised by thier poor grandparents or by a young mother without a father or in a poor situation where they do not have the best of opportunities given them. YES YES I know this is NOT always the case, However, statistically this is MOST OFTEN the case. It is sad and it is because we are not raising out kids right to begin with, or parents rather live in the dark than allow thier teens to get birthcontrol, and the teens still have sex.
We are SOOOOOOOOOOOO very overpopulated as it is.
It is a personal choice Bottom line. There should not be a law that forces someone to HAVE A CHILD.

For, except as an irresponsible form of birth control. And I do not mean for it only in extreme cases such as rape. I am for it if an idiotic teenager gets knocked up because her parents never educated her about safe sex or abstinence. The world shouldn't have to suffer through bastard children because of someone else's children.
