If you want to tell people right away, do it. I am pregnant right now and I could not believe it when people said I shouldn't "bank on it" until after 3 months. How morbid! I am now 6 1/2 months pregnant and doing fine. If you are excited, tell people. The only exception to me is if you have had problems with miscarriages or something that before. Then you might want to wait so you don't have to go through that loss publicly. If not, do it whenever you want to.

If I were you I'd tell everyone such as extended family and friends at the end of the first trimester or the beginning of the second, but I might tell my parents or people I was really close to before that.

I honestly think you should tell at least the other half ASAP. I just asked a question about why women hold that kinda info back a while ago. I know its a VERY delicate and emotional situation to go through but it affects more than just you even if you dont think so.

Normally I would say at the end of the first trimester, Unless you are exposed to dangers chemicals and such then you need to tell them immediately to prevent possible birth defects and get an ultrasound right away.

Good answer Momma, but I will expand a bit...
Wait until you see your doctor in the 4th month, and get a report that all is going well...
I was in my fourth month and miscarried, I had just told everyone...but I had an accident.
Tell close people in your 3rd month IF that exam went OK...but wait a bit to start speading the news.
IMO..anyways...

With my first I told everyone right away, now 6 years later I'm opting to basically tell everyone once I start showing so around the second trimester.
