Everybody's skin and tone is different. What works for one - even word of mouth - may not work for you. When I buy make up, I go to the department store. I ask questions. I try to determine if the makeup person really IS qualified to help me, or is just an employee. There are department stores who will hire specifically trained makeup artists - and sometimes those who might be specific to certain brands. For example -at one of the local stores here - there is a "MAC' trained makeup artist who has attended school and knows skin...That's a positive thing when you want to decide what kind of make up is best for you, colors, etc. I ALWAYS visit and get information and then purchase only what is basic and what I need. I keep in mind that makeup is meant to ENHANCE - not 'cover up'. If you have skin problems - you have to take care of that first - through a dermatologist - then you can use little or no make up to enhance your skin tones, or to enhance beauty when you go out.

First , the content. Then figure out an attractive but easy pack. The catalogues also serve well, for difussion and selling by agents.
One thing is packing each product and another packing a whole production, which is usually ensembled in pallets, for commerce overseas or long distance hauling.
Make a difference between all that expensive brands and all the piracy of cosmetics from China. It's hard but good.

The ingredients! Is it oil-free? Does it have anything you are allergic to? Different make-ups, use different ingredients. Some could make you break out. At first, ask a cosmetologist - available in department stores. Then you will know what type to look for. Recommendations from friends are also a good indicator.

Word of mouth is pretty good. If a lot of people like it........it's probably pretty good. Packaging is just something you pay extra for. Try this.......

Performance. It should be one of the best in its category and be able to do what I need it to, whether it's Wet n'Wild or Chanel.
