Two things come to mind on this type of problem,

A......Your fuel pump 'could' be the culprit, only if it had a thermal limiter. ie if it gets too hot, it will shut down until it has reached a cooled temperature.
I would check for a fuelpump relay ad see if it isn't overheating. I have seen fuel pump relays with a thermal limiter.

B......An ignition coil will do the same thing. When it gets hot, it will shut down, and after a cool-off period, it will run again.

Most Fuel pumps have a thermal switch build into the pump, if this is the problem then the fuel pump is plugged or going out.

Another possibility could be that your experiencing vapor lock, vapor-lock occurs when your fuel line is close to the manifold or heat source, check to make sure that the fuel line is not touching the manifold or the engine anywhere.

Yes check the electric fuel pump as well as any fuel filters.

I am not sure on your model but some cars have the fuel pump in the gas tank or bolted on the bottom of the floor plan underneath the car
