Has any one used or is using Netfirms web hosting? How are they and how is their uptime. I'm looking to register a domain name with them and take advantage of their free web hosting and I want to know if anyone's had any experience with them, good or bad. Please help!!!
Thanks

From what I can gather they are a fairly large and reputable company.

The research i have done came up with a lot positive and happy reviews from there customers, albeit, there where some unhappy responses about tech support and bandwidth limits. To the Netfirms defense, most of the complaints seem to be related to the customers inexperience with web hosting.

So in conclusion, if you are a novice you may run in to a few snags, but overall they seem to have a lot of happy customers.

P.S. I have provided a list of reviews with user comments. Hopefully this helps with your decision.

The web host I have used for several projects is Dreamhost ( http://www.dreamhost.com ). You can host as many domains on one account as you want for no extra charge, and all domain name registrations include private registration (which I recommend so your personal info is kept out of WHOIS) for less than $10/name. There's even a 10% discount code you can use when you sign up that I used: SUPER8.

I don't know about them but I am using Hasweb, http://www.hasweb.com/ and 1and1, http://www.1and1.com/ and have had only minor issues with both (and no serious downtime for over two years). And those minor issues were solved quickly, both offer excellent email support (and I've never had to call them). Both highly recommended.
