Who is your favorite character from a Book, TV, or Movie and why?

My two favourite TV characters are House and Monk, both of whom have programmes with the same name.

I like House because he is just so horrible to everyone and he doesn't quit until he figures out the mysterious illness, and often figures it out in a strange way.

I love Monk because he's so quirky, and when the quirks become popular, he gets even more funny because he thinks he's "cool".

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many! Elphaba~~ from the book "Wicked".She is the witch from the story "Wizard of Oz". I just like her weirdness. You really get to know so much more about her. She really isn't evil.
Winston Smith~~ from the book and movie "1984". Nothing like being a thought crimal.
Ruth Fisher~~The mom from Six Feet Under. I just can relate to her feelings as a mother and woman.

I used to read a series of books and there was a character called Nevyn, which translated to 'No One'. I really liked him because he hurt his lover by not letting her fulfill her destiny. When he realized it, he cursed himself to live until her incarnations had fulfilled her destiny. Self sacrifice.
