**Wow people are insane! Just because a person has their nipples pierced DOES NOT make them a bad parent. What the hell is wrong with people. WOW!!***
Anyways. I have my pierced and that is one of the first things that popped in my head when I found out I was pregnant. But I asked my doctor and she said that it would be fine to breastfeed, I would need to just take the piercing out. She also said that towards the end of the pregnancy I probably will need to take the piercings out because my breast will be getting very tender. But that's not with everyone. My friend whom is a tattooist also recommended I take the piercings out while I am breastfeeding, just because of chocking hazards, and that I will be able to put them back in when the feeding is all done.
So good luck. And don't let those freaks on here tell you that you are any less then of a person or parent because you have your nipples pierced. We are going to make great parents. WE RULE!!!

In most cases, pierced nipples do not cause a problem when breastfeeding; in fact, some have found that it actually increases their milk flow (flow, not production), making it easier to nurse. Some nursing mothers say they even keep the jewelry in (including during feedings), although I personally do not recommend this. You need to carefully consider what goes into your child's mouth at all times, and a piercing can be a breeding ground for bacteria. It's much easier to keep it clean without the jewelry in place.

This is a question you wouldn't have to worry about if you could have held off the piercings till you had kids... geeezzz...
I would seriously be worried about the bacteria thing... the piercing breeding grounds...
In any case, you can utilize the holes in your nipples by inserting clips that hook onto a baby carrier... The baby will be easier to tote around that way...

You can still breastfeed with nipple piercings. I would recommend that you take them out though. They won't affect the baby because mostly stainless steel is used, but I guarantee that breastfeeding will hurt more and cause more cracking of the breast.

I have my nipples pierced too and I did ask my doctor and you will totally be able to breast feed. The baby doesn't just take in the nipple...he'll take in part of the aereola too...you will probably be a little messier between feedings...but pumping and breast feeding will absolutely NOT BE A PROBLEM.

You should take the pierce out because when your milk starts getting out it would be difficult to clean your nipples well, and you may have an infection, which you will pass on to your baby. Just do it for him/her, then you can put them back on (it just hurst thinking about it lol)

Probably yes. It is just that the piercing didn't damage the point, else milk would be flowing from the sides rather from the tip. Don't forget to remove the rings.

YES!
Moms with pierced nipples can still breastfeed.

You will probably want to remove the jewelry while baby is nursing and then put it back after feedings. (To avoid latch problems because of the jewelry and ot avoid any chance of baby swallowing the jewelry.)

There shouldn't be an issue, but you will have to remove the rings until your finished breastfeeding. Its a safety issue for the baby(what it it came off) and the baby wouldn't be able to latch on correctly. If any further questions talk to your doctor about your issues.
