I don't want it to loop and I want to be able to talk with people. I don't know much of anything about webcams... help!

I suppose if you have to get the 5000 as it is within your price range but my recommendation stands for the 4000.

buy an A4tech webcam cost around $20-30 , and it is user friendly too,and use this brand , like you i'm not a techie person too.
