I did yesterday and most replies were that I am a homophobe. They don't know me! Aren't they being judgemental...another quality gays despise in straight folks?
BTW. I am NOT a homophobe I get along with people just fine without bearing on their sexual orientation.

i don't think it's homophobic at all, it is true that some homosexuals have a "grudge" or something like that against other sexual orientations and act like the world owes them something because they are gay/lesbian/bi, or whatever. i also know a lot of homosexuals who don't act this way and treat all people like their POV matters. Now before all the hate mail, i didn't say "ALL" homosexuals act badly, and just as many straight people who are homophobic act badly towards homosexuals, in fact you could ask the POV question about straight people too, and you, the asker prolly wouldn't get any hate mail, just a bunch of "right on's". anyway, that question can apply to just about every group, so don't worry about all the people who call you a homophobe, they are prolly just a straightophobe or something, or someone who can't see from other points of view. i think i'll get off my soapbox now, hope that gives you one answer.

I really think you are the one who is being judgemental. Why don't you try to see things from there point of view once in awhile. And maybe you should get your facts straight before you post a question. ...gays don't despise straight people, straight people despise gays

Btw...I am not gay

I don't think so.

I mean when my bro came out I was more than understanding. But I do understand the fact that it's hard for Gays to expect immediate acceptance with such a life altering (and sometimes unexpected) surprise. It couldd be contstrued as selfish for gays to automatcally want that acceptance.

But i'm all about the Gays. I think any more, any less of them than i do anyone else.

No, but you need to ask your question in a more reasoned manner.

Homophobia appropriately defined only as "fear of" - thus, the "phobia." However, by asserting that all homosexuals are the same, you are exhibiting prejudice - a belief that all individuals in a particular group share a certain point of view unrelated to the fact of membership in that group.

For example: it is not prejudicial to assert that all homosexuals are attracted to persons of the same sex. It is prejudicial to assert that all homosexuals are close-minded.

If there is a particular group of homosexuals that seems to you to be more unwilling to consider someone else's point of view - e.g., homosexual rights activists - then ask about that group specifically. But don't suggest that just because someone is a homosexual, they are unreasonable and irrational.

It doesn't make you a homophobe necessarily...but it does show that you don't know very many gay people.

That's a valid question, but I bet you are secretly a homophobe.
