I am a Canadian on the outside looking in and I wonder if this is the kind of democracy the average American supports.

re:bubbles

What makes the US the moral arbiter of the world.
14000 civilians dead in Iraq in 2006.
The US entered Iraq with no exit plan. We read about US atrocities everyday in Iraq. From my perspective these figures sound pretty oppressive.
It is heart warming to note that you did not read the information I provided which was reported in your press.
It gives your opinion a lot of weight.

The "democracy" that spells imperialism and dictatorship - you know, where only those that can be easily manipulated to the advantage of the US and British governments or their allies are put in charge or else, they too are eventually ousted by the US, British and allies governments.

I won't read the info on the sites mentioned because I know men fighting in Iraq first hand. I also know Iraqis personally and can tell you that what they are TRYING to establish is much better than what existed. If you believe the garbage you have allowed to infiltrate your brain without first going to a real Iraqi whose relatives were tortured, kidnapped, and murdered by Sadam Hussein, then you are not as intelligent as you want this foram to believe.

Democracy takes time (ours evolved for several decades). They have specific challenges that we in this country did not have to deal with. To think they will succeed in less than five years at developing a democracy or that it will look like our type of democracy you are a fool.

I'm thinking you believe the stories of the thousands Sadam had murdered, raped, and tortured are just stories.
