Some of my family members aren't satisfied with MY LIFE so they get angree and report abue. No effidence is ever found and the report is fraudulant. At the same time when my husband and I prove that it is false accusations there are no laws against that crime unless we get a lawyer that we can't afford. What gives when ex-cons or criminals try to place you where they've been. I Aint TRYING TO GO to jail or prison behind their ignorance.

I've asked this question myself -- why is it that my ex, who abused my children (and got convicted of it) can harass me, stalk my home, abuse others, and I am the one who has to pay to obtain the Restraining Orders, go to court and take time off to do that to testify, and STILL he is able to do what he wants.
It is the way the judicial system is (unfortunately). We have the freedom to live where we want, who we want to associate with, and have to take the (bad) of having to deal with abuser who also feel it is their right to file false complaints against an individual. And yes, it does COST the Survivor of abuse to file against their abuser. It should NOT be that way, but it is.

Dear tired of lies, i think that why it is easy or free to report abuse is because it cost the person listening to you to hear what you are saying. however, i think it cost something to verify what has been reported thereby making the person being reported upon to pay in other to free oneself.
Just think about it: it could be right that the person that reported you in the first place is telling the truth and could be possible that he is not. so, in other for the court or the legal officials to ascertain what is the truth or false they had to conduct an investigation and if at the end of the day you are found not guilty then the person that accuse you will be made to pay for damages. Now if you are found guilty? you are bound to pay for what you had done. however, if you are not guilty and you are found guilty? this could have some reason why it turns out that way: nevertheless, one could live it to fate and hope that something miraculous will happen so that one will be free as one should soonest.
Hope your case will not be like the later therefore, I urge you to take things easy and do try to make the members of your family satisfied with the way you live your life after all, they are the ones that carry, care and love you when you could not take care of yourself.

PS: as for deductions from yahoo answers when you ask question? I think it's their way of cocktailing the number of times people use to ask question by so doing you will make precious use of the time by asking reasonable question(s) which means they wish to discourage asking of question(s). By awarding point when you visit and answer questions is their way of encouraging people to visit often and answer questions more. Come to think about it, there is rational behind it and I like it. Think of how people still waste that time by asking funny question(s) what would have happened if they do not deduct some point? Thank you very much and cheers!

Actually, if you can prove who the person is who made the report and that the report was made as harassment then you can sue that person for lawyer fees, court fees and possibly even time loss at work and emotional distress. This is pretty recent and it is to protect people like you and to help prevent people like your family from harassing, though it doesn't work that much. But good luck.

everytime you ask a question they take 5 points off your your store.
some people have nothing better to do than to cause trouble for someone else and no it not right that this happen to you.
family can be very rude and ugle sometimes but i never understand why they do that to there own blood.
