Looks like the wonderful "unbiased" US News Media has declared "Open Season" on Mel Gibson, as his unfortunate recent fall from grace has been the highlight (I say lowlight) of all news coverage for the last 4 days! Of course, there is nothing ELSE going on in the world right now, that is more news worthy and demands more coverage! Stop picking on the man please! Poor Mel, God bless him and pray for him & his family. He is an alcoholic and has struggled to remain sober in this troubling world. Of course, the fact that he was the producer of one of the most respected Christian films of all time hasn't helped, as satan has been waiting for the chance to attack Gibson, as satan attacks all believers who try to do the will of God. When Robert Downey Jr. had his arrests and trouble with heroin addiction, the media barely noticed or said a word about it, all was forgiven and accepted. But when Mel Gibson falls off the wagon it is the top media story for DAYS. Looks like an uncalled for attack to me. I guess I know who runs the media.... Who among us is without sin or mistakes or doesn't have an alcoholic or 2 in their family? Why is this such a big deal? Gibson is an entertainer, not the leader of the free world. Give him a break.

Yes....if you are older you should have more self control not to drink that much. I have no respect for anyone who drives a car drunk and risks other peoples lives regardless of their age or social status.

Nope. He was drunk. Sometimes even the best people say things they don't really mean. C'mon. Anti-Semitic? Get real.

Yes. His movies aren't great to begin with, and now we find out he's anti-Semitic. If he stayed out of sight for a while I could find my way back to respecting him again.

He's merely an actor. Respect is unnecessary.

Yes. He is a boozer, womanizer and anti-semite. He pulled a trifecta with that stunt.
