Because everyone's so stupid.

This is a good question. I believe it is b/c we all think that we have an explanation for everything that is happening around us. THerefore we have an opinion about it. The problem is that an "opinion" is only an "opinion" not a "right" or a " wrong". Everyone is this way...at least some of the time

People form opinions based upon their own life experiences and how they relate to those experiences as an individual, whether those opinions may be right or wrong, "politically correct" or otherwise. Suppression of a person's right to express their opinions often results in frustration which, in turn, leads to that individual's more forceful actions in getting their point across. Everyone has their own individual opinions about everything they observe in life. Others may disagree with those opinions, but everyone has the right to express their opinions.

If you've ever met anyone without opinions, aren't they pretty sad?

If someone has not given thought to ANYTHING and developed a way to approach it (an opinion) that is an empty person with no self-esteem.

Opinions are fine. It's when the opinions are illogical and set in stone that it gets a little touchy!

I think it's natural to be opinionated, but it's the extreme to which people seem to want to voice their opinions that I question. Everyone is entitled to think and believe whatever they want to, but it seems more and more that people have this agression behind their opinion and try to force it on to other people. It's the unknown and unfamiliar that we are afraid of, so therefore when we are faced with it, we tend to fire back with both barrels in an overly-defensive way.

I think what you are referring to is social "noise". The way we communicate today amplifies the opions of the one or the few.
So to you it appears that everyone is opinionated. What you hear and feel are millions of opinions much more clearly defined.

This has also destroyed mutual respect and changed people to "I want it, and I want it now!", type people. I've seen new people come into work and they want a company car and keys to the washroom from day one. No one wants to "earn" it anymore, they expect it.

Everyone has an opinion, and some can teach by experience.

What a strange world it would be if everyone walked around dumbfounded with no opinions at all. Think about it.
Don't you have opinions? I'll bet you do.

It's a natural human process to be opinionated. Without it all human thinking would be almost exactly the same.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and this forum gives them a chance to express it.
