I won't give my opinion as to which is best; it depends on personal preference. What I DO love about Europe is that life in general isn't on the fast track, as in the US. I love that the daily schedule forces you to slow down, that in many places life still revolves around family, that culture, tradition and history play vital roles in the most common of things. I think in America we take too many things for granted, without stopping to really appreciate all we have.

Definitely in the US. We can start and end with public restrooms. While I've seen some pretty horid (and scarey bathrooms in the US), they don't compare to some of the ones I've seen (smelled...and by smell I mean smell that works it's way into your clothes and takes two or three washings and six or seven drier sheets to eliminate the stench) in France and Germany. I know quality of life isn't determined by public restrooms, but it's a start.

If you have money, the quality of life can be great wherever you live.
If you don't have money, doesn't matter what nation you live in... Life will be bad.
