Some still do

Agreed. Most people today have not matured sufficiently to understand the difference between superstition and religion and science.
Some US states are going backward on "divine intervention" and dropping "Darwinianism".
Relgions are fighting for power.
etc.
Isn't it silly since humans have a finite lifetime, and to waste it all arguing about God? What is the use?

My opinion is that there is no god.

Tough break for those wasting all their time in prayers, as those are not answered. Nor ever will be.

And it is ironic, because if you think about all the people who got killed because they did not believe in the same god, or not at all; and all those efforts to build huge churchs, to write music to praise a non existing deity, etc. it is really sad.

But it does not change the fact.
