It really depends on when your doc schedules your ultrasound, but you should be able to find out around 16 weeks.

Its normally the 20 week scan is the earliest time they can tell (they can't always tell even then if the baby is in a funny position).
But I found out at my 13 week scan as the doctor had a look while scanning me, and there was a really obvious little penis and testicles sitting there!!! Most people were surprised we found out so early but I saw it myself on the screen and there was no mistaking those boy's bits!!!!! The sonographer confirmed it at the 20 week scan thats its definitely a boy.

They say at around 14 weeks but the later you leave it the more certain you can be, and be warned they aren't always right. I was told when i had a scan at 36 weeks pregnant that i was having a girl, my 4 year old is the furthest thing from a girl, he's definately a happy healthy boy. I hasten to add my daughter who is now 10 months old was predicted to be a boy, it was her leg and that was at 14 weeks. Don't believe it until it arrives, and you won't care what it is when you see it.

I thought between 18-20 weeks would be a start, I am 19 weeks and my midwife decided for me to wait until I am 28 weeks to get my next ultrasound. I already had 2 and still not able to tell. I think 28 weeks is too long so I am going to push it to 24 weeks. She think too much exposure to the soundwave is not a good idea for the baby.

Well it depends how far along you are. But there is this test that you could take at home called the Baby Gender Test and all you do is pick your finger and put some of your blood on the test and in 48 hours you would know what your baby is, as early as five weeks.
I don't know if you want to try that, but Congrats!!

My son was laying in such a way that the scans couldn't tell if he was a boy or girl till I gave birth, not only was he curled in such a way that it was hidden but his hands were hiding it as well.
The scan woman said she'd never seen an unborn child hide that area so completely, I had weekly scans up until I gave birth and that part of him was always hidden lol

They say around 14 weeks, but it's best to have the ultrasound between 18-20 to be sure. Boy parts can hide...

anywhere from 15 to 20 wks, it depends on how is your baby positioned and if he wants to show at all. When my mom was pg with me I was facing the other way so all they could see was my back and tush, she had to wait until she gave birth.
