Nope. I chose the best.

Not necessarily, its just that, the longest answers tend to be more detailed and clear than others. For the answers that are long but totally shallow (they're just going around in circles and repeating the same thing over and over again), I wouldn't care if they took up the whole page, I'd just choose something 10 times shorter. For answers that are just a few words, but give me the answer that I want, then I pick that. Because shorter answers are usually a lot easier to take in.

Not necessarily. Depends on the question. I actually appreciate people that can give intelligent responses but sometimes long answers are just plain boring.
I like a good sarcastic, smart @ss comment...people that can pull that off and make it FUNNY will get a best answer from me too. (Funny not just plain rude)
Generally, if a person is answering in internet lingo rather than spelling out simple words that rarely have more than two syllables, they're not getting best answer either. If a person can't grasp the English language enough to spell the word "your" instead of "ur" well, too damn bad.

(Ahhh but everything else is not considered equal...)
Actually I look for the answer where the person a) seems to know what they're talking about, b) doesn't sound like I'm an idiot for asking, and c) where the person has a sense of humor and a mood of helpfulness.
If it's a trivial question I'll look for the humor first. But I've really gotten to where sarcasm does not equal humor. The boards will do that to you.

No, as sometimes the longest answer has just been copied and pasted from somewhere else and I despise that on here. I have seen where someone once took each word in the question, defined it and still had given no answer to the question???? go figure

No - I don't. I really pay attention to the answers. Frequently take advice, opinions under consideration and I pick the one that either works for me or if I truly LEARN something from it. Sometimes they are long but not always. Some people of a few words have MORE to say.

Only if I think it really is the best answer.
Sometimes, short answers don't answer a question adequately. That's when a longer answer is nice. At the same time, if the answer is too long, I find it difficult to read. I often skip over extremely long answers and vote for shorter answers.

Honestly, I don't really read long questions unless they start off making sense. Most get confusing after about 2 lines so I say forget it! The answers, it depends on the question. Some require more thought than others. But it shouldn't take a paragraph to tell me your name!!

Nope I read each answer and pick the one that best answers my question. I know that some people can filibuster through anything and still won't have expressed anything worth repeating or giving a second thought.

No. I don't tend to read the really long answers unless the question NEEDED a really long answer. Most of the questions asked here can be answered with a simple, short answer.
