I am going to wait to buy a 2006 Honda civic, until 2007 or the end of 2006, how much do you think these cars will go down? I got a quote on a civic sedan for 17,111 now,but i know if I wait they will go down!. Thank you for answering!

I like the fact that you got a "quote" on a car. This tells me you are not an impulse buyer. Generally new current year vehicle prices become more negotiable when the newer model year is released.

Here is a good personal finance website. They have car buying advice.

Read it. Pay particular attention to the section titled "The Art of the Deal".

Good luck!

Generally, all cars lose something as soon as they are driven off the lot. But, prior to that, I don't see Honda selling a 2006 for much less than the current amount & this is because Hondas are really good on the economy side plus they are just built really well, too! My best friend had her mom's Honda in the garage. Had maybe 15,000 miles on it. Maybe. The car was a 1978 model. She took it to a dealer to be appraised and even then, the dealer offered her something very close to current prices.

You need to learn how to haggle and be willing to walk away.

You will not find a dealership anywhere who is just willing to lower prices. The New Honda Civic is in hot demand and Honda even admitted they can not keep up with demand right now on that vehicle. Sorry to dash your hopes, but you're not likely to see that price come down much even by end of year (which in automotive terms is August by the way)
