If it's a thick spill:
1) Place ice cubes on the wax for 3-5 minutes
2) When brittle, chip off the excess wax
3) Place a folded paper towel over the area and hold a warm to medium heat iron on the towel for a few seconds
4) When you lift the iron you'll see the paper has absorbed the melted wax - several applications may be necessary
5) Any residual dye from colored candles will usually come up with a little rubbing alcohol or a dab of paint thinner.

Get a stack of newspapers and an iron, then iron over the spot. As the wax gets absorbed by the newspapers, change them to fresh ones until the wax is completely out of the carpet.

I helped my sister get some wax out of her carpet and it is super easy. I got some paper towels and a hot iron(clothes iron) and put the paper towel down on the wax and iron the paper towel and the heat from the iron melts the wax and the paper towel soaks it up, carpet looks like new!

well Iam unsure if this works but put an old cloth that won't stick to the iron and and iron the cloth on top of the place the wax fell on and that should do the trick but as around cuz I have never tried it so yeah! sorry!

You could try getting something warm (not fire) and remelting it. Maybe a grease remover would thin it out. also try goo-gone. or some dishwasher soap might thin out the oil in it
