There are no clear studies that prove that masturbation is healthy and keeps the prostate healthy. For every study that says it is, there is one that says it does not. The prostate is not a muscle but a gland, so it cannot get stronger by using it more. Over-use (3 ejaculations or more a week) would cause abbrasions, which can cause it to become congested and inflamed, which can lead to prostate issues.

Frequent masturbation and ejaculation stimulate acetylcholine/parasympathetic nervous functions excessively, resulting in the over production of sex hormones and neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine, dopamine and serotonin. Abundant and unusually amount of these hormones and neurotransmitters can cause the brain and adrenal glands to perform excessive dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversion and turn the brain and body functions to be extremely sympathetic. In other words, there is a big change of body chemistry when one excessively pratices masturbation.

Note: Masturbation is a healthy sexual behavior. Like other behaviors, when over practiced or addicted it can lead to both psychological and physiological imbalances.

The side effects of such changes to the body include:
Fatigue. Feeling tired all the time
Lower back pain
Stress / Anxiety
Thinning hair / Hair Loss
Soft / Weak Erection
Premature Ejaculation
Eye floaters or fuzzy vision
Groin / Testicular Pain
Pain or cramp in the pelvic cavity or/and tail bone

If above symptoms are experienced, you need to restore the balance of brain's acetylcholine / parasympathetic ratio, reduces the level of sex hormones in the body, and sedates sympathetic nervous function, or the symptoms would become worse.

Masturbation is good. It relieves stress, provides at least a little exercise, gives you a chance to use your imagination, puts you in touch with your body, is a great diversion from your problems (how many people can worry about work when they're whacking it?) and it feels really great. Also, for those in a relationship, it can take some of the sexual burden off the other partner. Masturbation rocks!

It's not good. All those who answered that it's healthy might as well admit "I am a compulsive masturbator!! If I tell you it's okay or even good, I won't feel so guilty about my useless addiction."

Masturbation is nothing you want to get addicted to. Rarely, it will happen as a release. Don't worry about it. Just keep it clean and try not to indulge in it often and make yourself a slave.
It's dangerous for the mind, when repeated often.

WHAT DOES GOD SAY ABOUT MASTURBATION
"Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and the sexually immoral" (Hebrews 13:4, NIV).
1 Corinthians 6:18 (NIV) "Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body."
First of all, masturbation will not truly relieve the sexual pressure that one may feel. It may for a short moment, but in the long run it only creates a deeper desire and capacity for sex, which will lead to more masturbation. If you let yourself become enslaved to a sexual high, you will find that you need to go to increasingly extreme acts to maintain the same degree of excitement. There are even ungodly sex therapists who recommend masturbation as a way of increasing sexual desire, not lessening it. This creates a vicious circle, like the junkie who craves a "fix," but is only temporarily satisfied. The more he indulges in his dependency, the more ensnared by addiction he becomes. This is the nature of all sin. That is why Jesus declared that all who sin become a slave to sin (John 8:34).
Furthermore, masturbation usually involves fantasy, visualization, and often pornography. The Bible is very clear as to what God expects of us in these areas of fantasy and lust. It teaches that we must not look lustfully at each other nor should we behave in such a manner as to entice others to lust after us.

It's not bad or dangerous!
Otherwise we all should have problem or be impotent even!
On the contrary, scientists says that a regular sexual life (mastu*bation too) helps the reproductive system to keep healthy, increasing the performance (libido) too.
Somebody even plays more time in a day and there’s no correlation with impotency or erection.
So, don’t worry for that, while you only ought to care to don’t become too much addicted.
Mastu*bation is a normal event, and with the age and stable relation should decrease till vanish slowly.
OK?
