Don't know if it's quite what your looking for but early Verve... It's electric and he's certainly singing the blues.

Albums: No Come Down (U. S. Import) 1992 I think.
A Storm In Heaven 1992.
A Northern Soul 1994.

Then they went main stream with a whopper of an album... Urban Hymns 1997. Richard Ashcrofts solo albums are good too, littered with classics though the odd crap tune too.

Albums: Alone with Everybody. Around 2000
Human Conditions. Around 2003
Keys to the World. 2006

Gary Moore / Thin Lizzy
Joe Satriani... The Red Album
Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson.... The G3 tour

Maybe too rocky but an awful lot of blues influence

If your into the 'electric blues' you simply must put 'Stevie Ray Vaughan' near the top of your list. 'Texas Flood' is good to start but creatively..what he did was 100% elect blues..comparable perhaps only to Hendrix. Robert Cray's been known to 'blast and dig' occasionally and is very rootsy..
