Also set up a National Health Service so people get health care for free like in the UK

Build a moon base well stocked with weapons and nukes

disrupt power abroad

Thus expanding my term of control until a new world order can be implemented a one world government will be the only way once my time was over
I will let the world civilians choose the new world leader

That's a hard question....because there is probably a lot of info not known to the general public that I'd need to know in order to make any changes. So, I'd find out what I needed to know in order to create a plan to pull out of Iraq then get the ball rolling on leaving. If there was time left, I'd find out if there are any big secrets the government has been hiding.

It would be nice to save the environment, stop world hunger, etc...but that's not something that could be done in one day nor can be achieved by one country....we have to work together as a world in order to stop world problems.

Who wants to be president? Talk about a crappy job. Sure you are the figurehead leader of the free world, but the honest truth is that while the president can influence policy, his actual power is limited. This is why we have checks and balances, and contrary to the belief of some they do work. I am amazed at some of the answers here, because it shows just how little understanding many of us have of what powers a president actually possesses.

Put all the members of Congress, Senators, Governors and the like on minimum wage. Give teachers huge pay raises. Forbid doctors and hospitals to mark up their drugs and supplies by 600%. Change all energy systems to solar, including cars. Deport the illegal aliens and make prison inmates do the jobs the illegals were doing. Vow to close the borders of the US and bring all the soldiers home so we can take care of our own country instead of running around sacrificing our young men and women to war. Sentence ANY person who commits sexual acts toward children to immediate life in prison without the possibility of parole. Completely get rid of the ridiculous space program and all the ridiculous money "we" spend on it and take care of planet Earth. With all the money saved there we could abolish taxes so people could actually keep the money they earn. Crucify the FDA and return to natural methods of life and treatment. And so much more but, after all, I only have one day.

I would mandate more money for public schools and revise that ridiculous No Child Left (my) Behind Act. I'd probably take the money from the stupid things Congress has "budgeted" like- their salaries. I'd also mandate that healthcare be free for all people over the age of 65 and all children under the age of 18. Respect your elders and care for our children!

I would say that I'd figure out a way to get our soldiers home from that God-awful "war" but after the hell of a mess Bush made, it'll take even the smartest person more than 1 day to fix his stupidity.

Hack the executive branch to pieces, Limited IRS, no more DEA, no ATF, limited FCC, Limited FBI, limited EPA, bring a string of federal legislation to the supreme court to be repealed. Eliminate corporate Welfare and subsidies for failing, inefficient and in effective industries. 6th Put a cap on gas nationaly nothing over 2 bucks a gallon, that would force oil companies to really compete and would force some outta business
7th cut off funding and weapons to Israel lets make it a fair fight, ROCKS vs ROCKS
8th Put Bill Clinton back in office after my day is over.
9th Have sex in the oval room with a female white house aide. lol.

I am an American First and My Dad was Born In the United States, but my ansistors came over from Lebannon over 80-Years ago to "Escape thoes $$%&$ Crazy BAS*(%%^%^ds, as my Grandfother use to call them.
