Seraphim - get a clue, these people here where i live have cars with systems, expensive weight benches on their balconies, i dont see them walking or wearing the same clothes everyday, i live in some pretty expensive apartments which arent worth crap now with all of these losers living here. also if they have no documents how are they gettig aid? Jobs have been offered, they didnt want 'em they want the government o supprt them just as it always has. They need to build a large fenced in housing prject and keep these people there then they can kill and rob each other all they want.

The thing is, most of these people didn't have a job to begin with and were living off of welfare in housing projects and what not. So to say this deadline is being extended is really of no consequence and irrelevant. The govt. needs to stop allowing people to live off of these programs as it only encourages them not to do anything with their lives while we foot the cost.

Lemme ask you something:

You have no home, your family and friends are all dead, no records, no car, and no money, as everything washed away, was destroyed, or was looted.

How do you accomplish getting a job in a state you have no intents on living in, and cannot return to the state you call home? How do you get a job, when you have no birth certificate or social security card to write down their info on your application? How do you get there, and are you willing to walk 20 miles to and from the nearest job that *might* hire you? How do you expect them to keep you on the job as you only have the clothes on your back and not exactly ideal living conditions? How can you deal worrying about these things, along with bearing the burden knowing that so many who you called 'friend' and 'family' are now dead or still missing?

Two of my guildies' in Guild Wars went through Katrina... and if you walked a mile in their shoes (and they were the lucky ones), you'd be singing a different tune.

Grow a heart, dude.

Soon we the American people will forget about Katrina, and the evacuees. The next tradgedy will take our attention and they will be forgotten. It is the process of American culture, to over sympathize, over compensate and then completely abandon.

Its not like they will ever go back to New Orleans as developers are making it the new Manhatton of the south, and only rich/middle class will be able to afford the newer, cleaner, more Disney friendly Big Easy.

it will be a long time especially if another hurricane hits this year , and I do agree , if it takes more than a month to find a job you are considered worthless . But you can't really blame them , free money , room and board , katrina is the best thing that ever happened to most of them

It won't stop... its a election year. These "victims" don't want to work, New Orleans doesn't want them back to become a burden there.

One of my clients in Texas offered jobs to the victims who wanted them and 9 people came to fill 25 spots. The company even offered to pick them up at the hotels they were staying in and still no repsonse.

It's those commie Republicans trying to buy votes by allowing these people to be indigents?

I know! It's all very confusing... Maybe Bush went back to drinking? I mean, that's screwed up. Isn't the Democrats that are supposed to do all that stuff?

Maybe there really isn't any freakin' difference between the two parties...

Its just another step towards communism.

Wait till Hillary Clinton gets elected. Then you'll see that the Democrat Blue is actually Communist Red in disguise.
