Define what you want to do with it and define your price range. I always say there is no best, there is what is best for you. In general I recommend this laptop, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16834115246 it's not too expensive and offers loads of features.

However, some may consider that too expensive which is why when you ask a question like this, it is best to define what you are going to use it for and how much you are willing to spend then a more specific recommendation can be made and as I said, there is only what is best for you, not a "best" out of everything.

You should get a dell laptop with microsoft windows XP.

However, if you do lots of artistic stuff on your laptop like creating HTML coding websites, get an Apple Notebook.
Get a light-weight one, unless your not trying to spend much money. a built-in mike comes in handy too.

there is not really a best laptop it depends more on your needs, since there is basic ones just for browsing websites, and others for playing advanced gaming.
i use a acer laptop myself. i would advise going to a computer shop and speaking to a salesman to find out the best laptop for your needs.
