Now, I have 2 ladies who are yelling at me when I try to debate. Why do women resort to name-calling, insults, and attacks on personal appearance, when they have nothing else to say?

Perhaps your words make them insecure. Perhaps they feel threatened by the reality of your questions. They might be in denial about the issues and the topics of discussion you bring to the table. They don't want anyone reminding them of their misery. Especially a woman like you, who appears to be quite comfortable with herself. It reminds them of their own failures, perhaps!
I would not let it get to me though. I always say, "hey, if you got it, flaunt it!"

It's not just ladies that resort to that type of behavior, it's the bulk of small-minded and simple people with the depth of teacup. I don't know why women are threatened by your questions. Questions are meant to be asked and if I don't want to discuss a certain topic, I just move on to the next on Yahoo answers. Have a good day.

I guess they might feel attacked. I haven't read your other questions, but I know I've written my own questions asking about why women let themselves go and along those sorts of lines, and everyone gets really mad and yells at me saying I must be ugly, uneducated, and so forth. I think the best one I got was, "You must spend 4 hours getting ready in the morning and still look like sh*t".
It's funny because I wasn't attacking anyone, I was just asking a simple question. I guess you're just going to get answers like that, sorry.

Some times people say things that seem perfectly innocent to them but tend to push others over the edge. There is so much bashing that goes on around here it is hard to know when some one really is asking a question or just being a smart ***.

I don't see anyone calling you names or insulting you on this yahoo board. Debate is when two people are involved. It seems to me like you're the only person involved in this debate. Good Luck!!

I dont remember If I answered any of your questions but when you ask someone to speak their opinion you better be ready for an unexpected answer. Women dont like that some other woman tries to out do her for her man like sharing or stealing. Women friends dont associate with women like that. It doesn't matter about the appearance its more on your attitude and morals you have to share with people to talk on here. If you can dish it out you better be able to take it.

I dont really get offended by anyone's questions-- maybe someone's answers to MY question-- but I think everyone on the internet is rude just b/c they know they won't get their a ss whooped on the net. Don't worry about them, your not on this site to deal with bored people trying to have something to do. Obviously they are stupid if they result to immature name calling. Tell them to kiss your a s s.

Why do you say it's only women? Men act the same way - they love to throw personal insults. So for now it's two LADIES, tomorrow it could be two MEN. Shrug.

Arguing is technically a contest. When facts are involved you are fighting fair. When insults and name-calling come to play, you're hitting below the belt.
Either way, the goal is to win the contest.

its not only women who do that. Guys do that all the time. But they tend to go more towards character name calling when women go toward appearance and all. And like you said they dont have anything left to say.

I have no idea. You think maybe it was the way you answered the questions? Take your IM and information off of your profile. That might help also. Sometime people are just argumentative by nature and we have to understand their ways.
