Personally, when Bush first got elected into office I really liked him. Now, I think he's made some tremendous mistakes - who could do better? Who knows, with all that is going on in the world - who could uphold that position and not make a mistake? Who would always know the right thing to do? We're quick to place the blame on others for the state of the world...

I think that personally he's not to blame for everything but there are quite a few people out there. Bill Clinton. I think he'd do a much better job. I'm sure there are a lot of people - even within the Republican party - that could do a better job at inspiring the American people.
It's not necessarily that Bush is a bad person (although my personal feeling is that he is) so much as that the decisions he make seem selfish and self-serving. Plus the way he speaks in public doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in Americans. I feel like a president should be able to speak in a way that his non-supporters at least respect, instead of making up words and stumbling...things like that.
I know that presidents don't fail or succeed on their own, but I also think that part of that job is to be the face for everyone working in the White House, which means taking responsibility for all of the bad choices made there. I hope that helped you see it from another point of view!

Seriously, almost anyone. His father was even better then him. Did you see what that red neck did last week? He was, once again, discussing state policy with his whipping boy, Blair, when the mike was on. But you know what? I don't blame him. I blame the American people for not standing up for their rights agains a tyrant. For letting this man manipulate you into destroying countries in the name of a democracy he doesn't even understand. For letting him blackmail other countries into supporting his wars that are nothing more then battles over oil. You are even letting him take away your freedom of privacy in the name of "protection". Who do you need to be protected from? The CIA or these stick waiving terrorists. You are slowly becoming everything you feared the Russians for during the Cold War. I would hope almost anyone could do a better job.

Either Kerry or Gore would have disregarded the whole Iraq nonsense and kept wages where they need to be, taxes fair, and the little guy involved in government. Not to mention concerns about global warming would be addressed, polluters wouldn't be writing clean air and water legislation and big brother wouldn't be on the other end of your cell phone.
The day after 9/11, everyone in this country was on the same page. We had support from most of the world. What happened to that? What happened to "uniter, not a divider?" The arrogance of "my way or the highway" policies in every level of policy squandered the world's and the country's goodwill. now there's a big hill to climb and Bush is not the guy to take us back up.

Anyone who is open to see both sides of a situation. Also someone who is able to hear someone with a different veiw point and actually put some thought into what they said. My biggest complaint with Bush is his narrowmindedness. He sees things from one specific point and doesn't even care to look around for better alternatives or other people who's insights might be (would definately be) better than the little notion in his head. He's on one heck of an ego trip and he's taking the entire nation along for the ride.

I don't blame Bush for everything. Just the things that are his fault.
Who could do better? How about all the past presidents that have done better, for example?

Almost anyone. How can he be president and make decisions based on his gut, when he admits that he doesn't know the facts and refuses to try to learn them? He trusts his instincts. I'd trust his instincts a lot more if he would try to learn something. He doesn't read anything. He is a joke.
