Hi: I plan to trade-in my Treo 650 for the Sanyo 6700. Does anyone have any experience in making "the leap" from Palm OS to Windows OS? My main concerns are:

1. Is this an easy information swap? I don't want to lose my PIM info or my docs to go, pictures, etc.

2. Can the Sanyo lock the PDA functions only and not the phone too? A big Treo irritation is having to enter my pasword to make a call!

3. Any other suggestions/info are appreciated.

Thanks in advance :-)

I would not make the switch if I were you. Palm OS is more stable, and offers many applications online (PalmGear.com as an example). However, here are my replies if you do decide to go ahead with the switch:

1. You will have no problem with Docs To Go, pictures, songs, etc. However, you will probably have to re-enter your contacts, unless your provider can offer transfer service.

2. No, if it is in locked mode, it will lock the phone too.

3. I would hang on to the Treo 650 until a new one comes out in the next few months, and upgrade to th new Treo. I take it that you are with Cingular.
