She is my best friend. She is straight. It is making her family crazy! We have been friends for 25 years and have never needed or wanted to cross the line. I just worry for her.

just keep telling the truth....people are going to believe what they want no matter how many facts there are showing it isn't true. i don't know what it is that most humans would rather believe the worst then the truth....strange if you ask me....anyway, i think its great you have had a best friend for 25 yrs. most people don't keep friends longer than a few weeks....don't let the silliness from family members or friends destroy your and your friends relationship you have a once in a lifetime thing and i hope when you two find your significant others you find people like you who are committed and caring....good luck

25 years that is a very long time to be friends. After all that time why are you still worried about her family. People whether family or not are always going to have something to complain about.....that has nothing to do with what you do or how you live. If they don't pay a bill, or support your needs personally then its none of there damn business what the hell goes on at your address. And she should see it like that to.....

Y'all might just have to sit the family down for a heart to heart on this matter. If they think or know that you are gay, I am sure their heads are spinning and tongues are wagging. But they need to concede to the fact that their little girl isn't and what you two have is a friendship plain and simple.

No matter what you do, they parents are going to have a problem. It is there problem. If you can live together and still be friends then don't worry about. Does it really matter what someone else things? Are you not both adults?

Why do you NEED to make it clear in the first place. Let people think whatever they want. As though it would be a bad thing, if you actually were homosexual!

If all you have to "clarify" TO is her family, then tell them -- cold blooded. As for everybody else screw 'em.

When you go out together, or visit her parents, you both should wear t-shirts that say "Not "WITH" her." *shrugs* Should solve the issue. Peace!
