If your doctor thinks it's Lupus then you should have some more tests done for this. My mum has Lupus and if diagnosed early enough can be controlled with medication. If left, Lupus can progress quite rapidly. I don't mean to worry you, but it is best to check all your options rather than assume it's purely a hormonal problem. If you're still not convinced why not get a second opinion from another doctor?

If you doubt your dr, get a second opinion. There is a serious difference between hormones and lupus. I would hate for you to have lupus and treat it like menopause.

When you go for your next blood test, ask to have the test done to see about menopause as well.
