i have a netgear router right now that is set up so that all the computers have access to the internet.. is it possible to create a network type thing at the same time so that the computers are connected somehow for transfering files

Assuming you are using windows xp (or the like), you can share everything, but it is better to create a home network environment and then share 'certain' folders to better protect the computers that explore the internet. XP provides s simple networking wizard to create your home network/LAN - if you utilize firewalls you may want to disable them (as well as certain anti-virus monitoring software') during the creation to simplify the procedure but be sure to re-enable them afterwards. Yes it is possible. There are a couple different ways to do it. Lookup windows sharing on the internet to find some info on how. Too much to type here.

yes its possible to shares the folders and files from this computer to another computer through your wirless router through remote access. for that you have to configure the RAS
REMOTE ACCESS SERVICE in both computers
