I have been keeping all of my books which I purchased for my early childhood education classes. When I begin as a new teacher, I figure that it will be nice to have many references in case I need to refresh on certain areas. Even as I take more classes, I have taken my books out to use. I would keep all books and materials you have!
Have fun teaching and good luck :)

It may be a good idea to hang on to them for the first two years that you teach. You may have some bit of information in them that you really need. You may also be able to adapt some of your projects to the level of your students. Of course, I have been teaching for 20 years and never got rid of a thing! My store room is full of great ideas I may use some day!

NEVER throw away your college stuff. You never know when you might genuinely need it again, and besides you payed BIG BUCKS to acquire all of that, right?
Other stuff you may have received, like textbook TE's that are now around 4 editions out of date, you can probably scrap since you'll get new ones when your hired.
Good luck

what do you mean? Have you interviewed? You will need a portfolio to showcase any work you have done. Projects from the past? That you used with other children? you wont need them... youll be with different children with different needs, make new ones.

I don't have any of the materials from my Master's work in my classroom. I saved it all and look through it from time to time. I guess it's more of a reference for me than anything.
