Out of 2 pregnancies, I only had 1 braxton hicks. Admittedly it lasted for about three minutes - just one long contraction two weeks before my son was born. I said to hubby at the time, if that contraction was anything to go by, I'll have every drug that they can give me.........lol
My real contractions were nowhere near as bad & I had both kids without any drug intervention at all.

I had them all the time. I was working in a law firm with an elevator with my last pregnancy. No one would go up the elevator with me!!! They thought I would go into labor and they'd have to deliver the baby. No one wanted to do that. I don't know why LOL LOL.
That IS what labor feels like in the beginning. The way you KNOW it isn't BH, is timing. ALWAYS time them when they start. If "regular" - even every 15 minutes, keep timing them. Yes, then they WILL REALLY START TO HURT. But you'll live --- get an epidural!! BEST OF LUCK.

1st thing, why are you still working? you should be resting
2nd,your employers obviously don't have kids as they would understand.
3, why do u need anasthetic?
Ive had all 4 of my kids without any pain relief and i lived to tell the tale.
I went through a 36 hour labour with my 1st and was adamant not to have pain relief.
Come on girl you can do it.
Don't be a wimp.

i was holding hubby's hand and nearly cut off the blood supply! lmao, yeah they might get stronger nearer the end of your pregnancy.
Ps, if you need pain relief dont be made to feel a wimp, why go through pain if u dont need to,
Best of luck x

i didn't really have any, just tightening which i barely felt so i thought labour would be easy..... Unfortunately though, my labour was REALLY painful as the pain was all in my back and i had to have an epidural when i was about 5cm dilated!
