Hi,
If you're using Windows XP, you might have 'Internet Time' enabled which automatically synchronises your clock with a time server. Your time zone may be incorrect too.
Try:
double-clicking the time in the system tray
select the internet time tab
untick 'automatically synchronize with an internet time server'
select the time zone tab
choose your location
click ok

If the time resets or changes after you reboot, you may have a flat BIOS battery. This is a small battery on your computer's motherboard which stores time information. You can unplug your pc, open your pc case and remove the battery, replacing it with a new one from any electronics store or any computer store should be able to replace it for you.

Well this a known factor. Not to worry. i'll tell you how it happens. You change the clock to the correct time. but when you connect to the internet it will update accordingly according to their servers & information. But there is one thingh that you could do. Dont just set the time manually. All you have to do is chose some other timexone which maches your time. thats all! Good luck!

There is a time sync program call Dimension 4 that can update your CPU time when you are Internet connected. I know this may not address your question, but it still a good thing to have. Other than that, check your time zone setting. Having that wrong can do weird things to you, too.... Especially you have Internet time turned on. Check that, too. On the time in the tray.....

Usually malfunctioning clocks indicate a need for a change of the battery on the Motherboard for the BIOS. PEACE!

You may have your clock automatically updating from an online server. This can happen with certain spyware. If you have an antispy program, I'd suggest running a scan.
