Assuming there is no lever to depress or you don't have to push in on the lock....

Either your steering wheel is locked (it's supposed to do that as part of your theft deterrant package), or you have some tumblers in the switch that are stuck.

First, try turning the steering wheel to one side and the other and at the same time try to remove the key. It's just the wheel lock then that should do it.

If you have tumblers stuck, try squirting some WD-40 in past the key and let it set for awhile to see if it will free it up.

Sounds like the steering wheel is locked, try turning the steering wheel to the left or right and turn the key see if this works. Turn the wheel and try moving the key do this both ways until the steering wheel is unlocked.
