Considering the fact that it's against the law to legally hire any child under the age of 16 in most states, you're pretty much out of luck when it comes to actually getting a job. But as for making money, try doing odd jobs for your neighbors or helping out at your local church or school.

Check with your county. I know as soon as I was 14 I was able to work during the summer with the JPTA. I think its Job Participant Training...I think thats what it stands for, I cant remember. I got to work 40 hours a week during the summer, every summer until I turned 18. Its a neat program, you mainly work with community organizations like the Aging Council, HeadStart programs etc. It pays mininum wage and was good training.
