Hey gurlz. I just wanted to know what your shortest period was. Because, I am 11 yrs. old, and my period this month was 3 dayz! Is this normal for an 11 yr. old or what? Now, I dont know if its ended but it sure looks that way. I know I am not pregnant cuz I am not stupid and I sont hace s*x at age 11.. anyways answers will be appreciated~!!

The normal range is about 3-7 days, but I've heard that some people even have it for 2 days. It is normal, especially at your age when your body is changing and your period probably isn't regular yet. Just consider yourself lucky!

My wife and I practice NFP, which means we both study the cycle (which terminates in a period). That's the only reason I'm answering a menstrual question.
A 3-day period is not unusual - a 1-day period would be, and would indicate something else was causing the hemorrhaging. You also wouldn't have an abbreviated period if you were pregnant - you'd have no period at all.
If your period stays at 3 days, consider yourself lucky - my wife's can last for 6 to 7. The obgyn has tested her for endo and cysts, and it's just that my wife's is a long period, and usually an uncomfortable one.

I am 19, and I've had my period since I was 9. My cycle has changed so many times, it started out as a few days when I first got it years back, and has never extended for more than 5 days. Currently my period is 3 days long. Don't worry, as long as you're not experiencing out of the ordinary symptoms, you'll be fine. Your body will change often. Be glad its only 3 days really.

I've had mine since I was 11...and my very first one was only for that day...I was coming home from kentucky and it happened at a burger king. i swear to god there was 5 cups of blood in the toilet...but there were no leaks before hand...
anyways, I found out about it at about 3 pm and at 9 am the next day, it was gone...

3 days is fine - perfectly normal. The range is typically 3-7 days. And, at your age your body is still changing, so I wouldn't worry about it.
You can always see a gynecologist for a routine check-up, as well.

Wow, you're lucky! My shortest was probably around 5 days. It's usually about a week...I hate it. By the way, you probably don't need to censor the word sex.

mine was 3 days for the 1st few months when i was 11 too. theyll get longer but some pple just have short ones.
