Am I the only guy who has trouble identifying good looks in men?

Apparently I have no idea what appeals to a woman.
I'll be watching TV with my wife - something on E! like "best looking celebrities" and I'll ask something like "is he attractive" and she'll make a face like I just shoved a lemon in her mouth.

Do any other guys suffer from this type of "blindness"

Since I'm female, I can't speak from a man's point of view, but I'm certain there are men whose opinion of other men's looks don't exactly coincide with what a woman's opinion would be. There's an old saying, you know, about how beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So what looks good to one person, can look blah to another. We all have different tastes.

Here's another theory: Men don't look at other men -- they look at women -- the exceptions being if they're gay, or if they're comparing their looks with other guys' looks. But generally, they're assessing the hair, skin, and figures of the fair sex.

And last, but certainly not least -- think about this one. Your wife doesn't want to admit that she finds other men attractive, so she'll make a face, pretending that the hunk on TV reminds her of the nerd she dated in high school. She doesn't want to make you jealous, sweetie, so this is a common pretence women employ -- I do it myself, all the time. You may have to question her motives about not wanting to evoke the green-eyed monster in you. Either she doesn't want to make you angry, or -- and I like to think this is the reason -- she loves you, and wants you to know that she only has eyes for you. If that's the case, then consider yourself a lucky guy, indeed, and don't forget to return the compliment!
