Well, lately I feel I've been going over-board with the dating issue! I'm one of those individuals who takes looks/physical appearance, personality, family background, likes/dislikes, economical status, and even intimacy/performance/kinky/openminded all and more into perspective. To me these and a lot more characteristics are what would make my life spice up! But how about his life...should I try to find all that and more on just one person? Should I analyze everyone who comes along in such a way? Is this something I can fight back in order to actually find someone who really loves me for me and not for these qualities as well? Can I be picky about who I date or not...is there such thing as being too picky? Is there a point when I have to just stop and let things flow gracefully? Am I being self-centered by doing this to others?

You can be as picky as you want. Eventually most people balance the being picky with the desire for a partner. Sometimes really picky people can end up alone. So that's their choice.
No such thing as being too picky unless you are complaining you can't find anyone...then you are being unrealistic. When you meet the right person none of your criteria will really matter. Your heart will overrule. You haven't met the right person yet.

Even straight people are picky like that. Don't worry about it. Keep your options open. Everyone takes all those same things into consideration when looking for a mate. If you just date anyone and everyone who comes your way, that's kinda what most would consider "slutty". I think it's better to be picky!

You can be too picky. Sometimes you have to give to get and in the romance department there is a lot of compromise. You have to compromise or be lonely. The one perfect partner for you maybe right before your eyes but they may not be as attractive as you prefer. You're going to have to compromise on somethings.

I'M AS STRAIGHT AS YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET!!
Just making that clear.

I dunno, I'm guessing the rules are the same for guy/girl relationships. The more picky you are, the better the match, but the less happy you'll be cause it might take you a long time to find what you're looking for in a woma... um... man. Especially since there aren't that many gays around.

Happy manhunting *shudder*

You think way too much. Sure you aren't commitment phobic? I know some people who analyze their dates like that and it's because deep down they are afraid to commit. They always find an excuse why this one or that one is just not THE one.
