There are a few things I could share with you on choosing the right colours.

1)Is your fingernails long or short? If you have long fingernails,dark intense colours would make your nails look shorter but yet at the same time,if you choose the right dark colours,its very elegant yet sexy too.[Deep red,Maroon,Dark Brown) -Few examples.....

2)If you have short nails,light colours tones work best. If you have short nails,applying light colours nail polish makes your nails look silghtly longer & nails polish with bits of shimmer works too...

3)Before you choose what color to use,look at your skin colour.
If you have very pale/fair skin tone, dark intense colours work best but you can choose to use Crimson Red instead of Deep Red if you have short nails because Crimson is a brighter red compared to Deep Red. {Fair skin tone tends to have a wider colour range to choose from but do not choose colours that are too bright or your skin will look very washed out}

4)If you have yellow skin tone, go for colours like Deep Orange or Deep colors or Pink tones.

5)5f your skin is tanned/dark, go for light color tones to golden yellowish tones. You can use golden colors, yellow...

All these combination formed a contrast between your natural skin colour and your nail colours so that it stands out.. So choose the right colours.

Hope this helps-Carolina Tay

If you want something to go with everyday outfits, then French Tips are a great way to go. (better to have these done by a nail salon) If you just want to do something yourself, a light pink or natural beige is good for the summer. In cooler, or winter months, red or brown is always good. Do a good manicure first and get rid of cuticles and dead skin around your nails! Always use a shiny top coat! Will look good and help the polish stay on longer without chipping.

You should go with something light colored (like light pink) to make your nails look longer and more elegant. Red makes nails look stubby.

Somewhere between pink and red - a rose color... and round your edges - squared off looks stupid.
