there are people so vicious that they would not only kill their girlfriend, but BURN THEIR 2 MONTH OLD BABY ALIVE!!!!
How can they be allowed to live?! People like this should be put to death, no question asked. And let's not say that "it might be the wrong person". If the guy confesses, which he did, he needs to fry!
What do you think?

Some polisci...Sure i'd blast his azz away no problem. As a mother, I would do it for my daughter and for his own daughter that he killed in cold blood.

Another thing..these people aren't humans, they're animals! We put rabid animals down in a heartbeat, so why should we show sympathy and compassion for animals such as these. Regarless if they walk with two feet, they are ANIMALS.

I definitly agree. I feel that our system is to nice to these murders. I mean come on cruel and unusual punishment? what about the way these people kill their victims. I think if you kill viciously you should be put to death the same way your victim died not just by lethal injection. Killers should suffer too.

As odd as this sounds, countries without the death penalty have lower murders than countries with the death penalty. I am not sure how to handle these people and why doing such awful things as you described is even in society. However, I do know that the more violent crime & school shootings are shown on televsion the more that crime goes up. I guess maybe if you know that other people are committing such crimes than it seems more ok.
I had to do a reseach paper for my socialology class and was stunned by the results.

If there is a confession, a bullet would cost less. I am for the death penalty, and I don't think they should sit on death row for years. If there was a confession or 3 or more witness then let's do it. Why wait, it's costing a fortune for them to sit there and get fed 3 meals a deal, doctor's care, the money for the quards to keep him there, electricity, water...I mean what did the victims get. All that money they would be saving could be put to better use...don't you think? Great question! and I don't mean to get on my soapbox and preach, but this is unreal our justice system. Now, yes innocent people have been put to death, but as I said before a confession or 3 or more witness...there's no room for error--then what's to wait for....Also, this mentally distrubed people that are serial killer, I believe a lot of them are kept alive so they can be studied...why? I am assuming you are basing your remarks and facts on case near you, I hope the state in which the crime was committed has a death penalty and they drag their feet. We have plently of wood down here left from Hurricane Katrina if they want to burn him and save the electricty!
God bless us all..........

I completly disagree. People confess to crimes they didnt commit. But more, If say I was grandma, it was my daughter and grandbaby, I would rather this man stay alive in jail, and have to deal with his dicision to murder. The loss, the sorrow, (as long as hes not insane) will kill him. The lack of freedom, rules, lockdown, loneliness will abosultly kill him. Jail can be very cruel. But there are many reasons why I am against the death penalty. Eye for an eye is not the way to live, war will never end. Im sure youre an americain....

I don't believe in the death penalty because I don't think it's up to humans to decide who dies. I also don't believe in three square meals a day, a bed to sleep in, exercise equipment, etc. that prisoners get. If I had it my way, I'd reopen Alcatraz, but that'll never happen.
Since I've never had anyone I love murdered, I can say this now. If (God forbid) this ever would happen, I might change my tune a little bit, but for now, I'd say they'll get what they deserve after they die, and my guess is that it'll be much more harsh than what you, I or anyone else could do to them while they're alive.

Some people feel that only god should have the power of life and death over humans. Some people feel that "thou shalt not kill" applies to everyone and even murderers should not be killed.
Some people feel that society should be kinder and better than murderers and should not do it. It's kind of like spanking your kid to teach him not to hit his brother - a bit ironic. To do what you think is wrong...to punish someone who did what you think is wrong. If you think it's wrong to kill, why do it?

Completely agree.
There must be consequences to our actions or society will run rampant. If left unchecked, we can be complete animals.
Death as a consequence to killing another person, or persons, is not only just, but it is the only way to show criminals that we aren't just kidding around when we say, 'don't kill'.

The death penalty makes everyone murderers. It makes us no better than those who have done wrong.
No, I don't support anyone who burns their babies alive either.
But I do support abortion. It's NOT a viable human life.
I believe in saving the living...not the might be..if...

If you truly believe in an eye for an eye, then you probably support the death penaty. However, many people have a different belief system where they don't believe that the response for killing should be more killing.

It's not whether or not he deserves to die that is the argument against the death penalty, it's who deserves to have to be force to kill him? Killing a man is a helluva thing, even if the prick deserves it. I personally don't think anyone should ever have to kill anyone, it cheapens us as human beings. But that's just my thing.
