I grew up in SF during the Haight-Ashbury, "hippie" heyday era.
Smoked a lot of weed after high school. Just decided at one point that I'd done enough of it and stopped.
Had a hit now and then over the years, but not on a regular basis.
I just did it 'cold turkey' on my own, no help. Just made a personal decision that I didn't need it anymore, and stopped.
Not sure if it's that simple for anybody else.
