i sold my cars well 4 from my back yard over the weekend to a company i found in the yellow pages saying we pick up and pay for junk cars..........i did this on a sunday.. i signed and gave him the titles and i got 80 dallors for the cars.. the problem is the police said the cars are on my property and remained on my property for over 20 days and i have a lot of misderminors and fines over $5000 worth... and they are lieing ..i have to go to court and i dont have a recepit what should i do ?????

get a lawyer

you should have got $80.00 each for the cars

I am not shure what state you are in or town. if the cars are 25 years or older the are protected by antiques laws, if the cars are in your yard and the officer wrote those tickets and he steps on your property to do so that is called illegal search and seizure because he did not have a warrant to search the property, but check your state and local laws before you push it

First off... you seemed to be trying to get rid of those cars so I would definately use that as my point for innocense at court. Call the guy from the junkyard or stop by and get a receipt.

I can not see a judge fining you for something you are trying to fix. If s/he does... ask how to appeal their decision and mention the fact that you will be writing your congress person. BUT... you better be telling the truth in regards to trying to fix that situation.

If you can't get a receipt... tell the judge you had the vehicles towed away as soon as you were able to get it all set up.
